Difference Between Body Wash And Shower Gel
Gone are the days when we had to use messy slippery soap bars to clean our body. Neither do you have to worry about the hygiene in sharing the soap! Now, the shower gels, Liquid soaps and body washes rule the industry. Though both, the body wash as well as the shower gel are used for the same purpose and also they both have the same functioning methodology but still they both are different! Shocked? I was also shocked when I heard this. In fact, truly speaking I never ever care to find out what I am picking is a body wash or a shower gel. Both are mild, filled with fragrance and provide a luxurious bath. But after knowing the difference, I am now choosing upon the product more wisely. In simple words I am able to make a smarter choice!
The body wash differs from the shower gel in its texture. The shower gel is little thicker than the body. But at the same time, some of the body gels specially those having milk proteins, are also thicker. The shower gels may be considered as an improved form of a body wash. A simple body wash is just a liquid soap. It has cleansing properties and a nice long lasting fragrance. Few drops of any body wash on your sponge can give you a nice clean refreshing bath.
However, the shower gel mostly constitutes of some specific ingredients as its prime base. It is also true that the shower gel is more like a combination of soap and the moisturising lotion. It does the cleansing job and then covers the body with a protective layer that provides the skin some vital nutrients all day long. Some good quality shower gels can also be used as a scrubber. The gels containing sea mineral, tea extract and other scrubbing agents as its ingredients removes the dirt particles as well as the dead cells from the skin surface thus making the skin smoother and soft.
Because of their individual benefits, the body wash and the shower gels also vary in the price. The shower gel is little expensive than the body wash. But at the same time the shower gel is a smart choice. Because of its thick nature, less quantity is used per bath. On the other hand, the body wash can be used liberally.
Though the difference between the two is negligible but still for the people who believe in details, this disparity is enough. Rest, both the body wash as well as the shower gel perform the same job of cleaning the body. Both of them are available in various fragrances and base. Last but certainly not the least, both are interchangeable! So why should you waste time thinking so much about the two? Just pick any one that suits you the best in aroma and properties and enjoy an exfoliating bath! Both of them are just too good to give you fresh, energising start!
